PLA Media & Shane Michael Taylor Invite YOU to a Free Release Event
PLA MEDIA & SHANE MICHAEL TAYLOR INVITE YOU TO JOIN US
We are inviting you to attend the music video premiere and Q&A session with an absolutely incredible and inspiring human, Shane Michael Taylor. You'll find full details on the event hosted by Center Stage Magazine's Missy Wolf that is kicking off at 5 PM CT on Friday, July 23 at the 404 Bar in Nashville below.
The inspirational quadriplegic Shane Michael Taylor is a country music songwriter and speaker living with spastic cerebral palsy. Shane’s latest single “I’m Giving In” has garnered him and the song spotlights from outlets including the Academy of Country Music's New Music Friday Playlist, Billboard Country Update, Country Music Chat, Vents Magazine, and The Country Note. The anticipated music video for the single is set to premiere on Friday, July 23 on CMT.com following a week filled with a TV broadcast premiere and rotation on The Country Network. On the evening of the premiere, we invite you to join us at 404 Bar for a video release event.
While the lyrics in the single communicate the feelings of isolation and the negative mindset that can result from hardships in life, the music video portrays the abuse that is prevalent in the caregiving industry, especially for those that rely on others for necessary, survival care every day. As an individual who has dealt with the care industry and licensed caregivers for a good portion of his life on his own, Shane is using his platform to bring awareness and shine a light on the wicked practices clients have endured from the aforementioned industry and the individuals that work within it.
The music video release event is a meaningful and highly anticipated moment for Shane Michael Taylor and his team because of the detail and importance Shane has put into the message behind the video. We would love to invite you to join Shane and our team at the 404 Bar to celebrate the positive work Shane is doing for the caregiver industry as he is taking the message beyond his music to the caregiving industry via workshops to guide both caregivers and their clients.

- “I just feel very grateful & blessed to be in the position to get to release something like this right now. I was afraid it was too dark to put out & honestly, I became the guy in the song about a year after we wrote it. It is certainly not the kind of thing you hear on the radio today, but as someone who grew up on Reba, Garth, Martina & listening to all 90s country, I was inspired when I heard a new song on the radio & it shook me. The idea that a songwriter & an artist who didn’t even know me could touch me so deeply is the very reason I got into music.” – Shane Michael Taylor
- This is a song about finding the inner strength to rise above and overcome thoughts of suicide amid challenging times. Shane was compelled to write this inspirational tune while reflecting on his personal obstacles living with cerebral palsy, as well as the common feeling of isolation, loneliness, and fear throughout the world during the ongoing pandemic. The forthcoming music video also shines a light on the abuse of power and unfortunate mistreatment that goes unspoken, specifically regarding those relying on others for daily and medical care.
