TG Sheppard Shares Heartfelt Message For Fans, Friends, and Family of Toby Keith During Interview
There are certain people in this life that leave a long-lasting impression on you. For me, one of those people is the incredibly talented Motown and Country artist, TG Sheppard. I affectionately refer to Sheppard as my "first friend in Nashville" since our first interview together. After our initial phone conversation together, I became enamored with Sheppard's career and his wonderful life stories. Luckily for me, I have since been able to reconnect with Sheppard in person for several on-camera conversations.
Our most recent time together was spent at this year's Country Radio Seminar. In addition to promoting the release of his first country solo album in 22 years Midnight in Memphis, Sheppard was also excited to share the news of signing a contract with SiriusXM as a radio host on the Elvis Channel (19), thus having the opportunity to have guests such as Kid Rock and Lionel Richie sit with him for in-depth conversations. I immediately had to ask him if he prefers to be the interviewer or the interviewee. His response along with his reason why did not take me by surprise, as I am partial to his answer.
As we continued our conversation, Sheppard shared a recent story about spending a couple of days with his wife Kelly Lang, Olivia Newton-John, and John Travolta. Sheppard explained that he invited Travolta to come back to Nashville as his guest at the Grand Ole Opry and shared that he strongly encouraged Travolta to put his cowboy hat back on and record a country album. I am sure I am not the only fan in this world that would love to see that happen. Listening to Sheppard tell this unexpected story was exciting. Watch our full conversation now to learn more about their visit together.
