CMA Fest 2019 with Missy: John Berry

To know John Berry is to love him. Not only is this remarkably talented man humble and kind, but he is also an inspiration to many.

When the news broke that Berry had throat cancer, he immediately brought his fans and friends along on his positive journey. His optimism and positive outlook outweighed the sorrow that many felt in their hearts. Remaining by his side, friends and family supported Berry every step of the way, leading to his recovery and return to the stage once again.

As we sat for our conversation during CMA Fest,  I knew that I would once again be blessed by his wonderful spirit. I was. In fact, everyone in the media room at the Music City Center was touched by his presence and unwavering gratitude for the life he has been given. Watch our full conversation now to understand why.

Berry's latest single "The Richest Man", has become a beacon of hope for many. As Berry explained the birth of the song, he was quick to share that he and his co-writers were simply "gifted the song by GOD". I would have to agree.

If you have not yet grabbed a copy of "The Richest Man", be sure to do it now. Actually, do yourself a favor and grab a few. You will be so glad you did. Berry has one of the purest voices I have ever heard and is always on pitch. He really does have a GOD given gift and I have been so blessed by it. We all have. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
