Let me start off this next artist's introduction with a recent description about him and his band.  "If Garth Brooks and The Eagles combined, it would be Mark Bray and the Steel Soul Cowboys."

Emerging artist, Mark Bray, and his band are no stranger to hard work and in turn, no stranger to positive feedback.  However, THAT is one hell of a statement for anyone to hear said about them and yet, watch our interview to see how Bray reacts to this comparison.  There is an honest appreciation and gratitude that radiates from him as he talks about his debut EP, You Follow Me Around.

The lead single from the EP is "For Love" which peaked at number 36 on the Music Row Breakout Chart which is a huge accomplishment for any artist and is a little sweeter when it is a debut single.  Bray is definitely "one to watch" in the country music scene.

We did have a chance to talk about a huge event happening in his personal life and he was none too shy to talk about the excitement surrounding the upcoming birth of his first child.  Bray and his wife Erin welcomed "brayby" Charlotte on February 22, 2018, and I think I can say that we will probably hear a lot of great songs coming from the inspiration that this little angel brings to Bray.

Bray's second single from his EP was released on April 2, 2018, titled "I Just Need A Drink".  This single is one that should definitely fair well with radio and fans alike as everyone can relate to this song and the hook is something you find yourself singing along to right away.

Make sure you follow Bray on all social media platforms and keep up with his touring schedule, see him when he is in your town and get your copy of the EP where ever music is sold.

Congrats on every Mark, I am excited to watch your journey continue to unfold and surpass your wildest dreams.

About Laura Lou

Laura Lou Journalist

Beginning about age 13, music always been my “safe place”, my “escape”, it became a part of who I am. My background includes being a photographer/journalist for newspapers, magazines and radio stations and more recently I have been an artist manager. What I continue to strive to learn is, what is important to the fans/readers? I find that the answer is always that they want to feel close to the artist they are supporting. The human contact that we all need is something that I want to deliver to anyone that happens to read something I write or see a photograph I shoot. It is important to me to provide that experience, because I am, after all, still always a “fan” and that giddy 13-year-old girl is simply amazed! I never imagined that my passion and love for music would lead me where I am today! I use the hashtag #iamtheluckiestgirliknow because I cannot believe how blessed I am! I’m excited to see “what happens next” and take you all along with me! This is going to be amazing…
