CRS50 with Missy: Shane Owens
During the GrassRoots 2017 Starlight Dinner, which was a kickoff to this year’s CRS (Country Radio Seminar), I caught up with new traditional country sensation, Shane Owens. Owens recently released his debut album titled, Where I’m Coming From and is currently promoting the second single release, “All The Beer In Alabama”.
Owens is no stranger to country music and the industry itself as he has been writing and performing since the age of 17. He has shared the stage with artists such as George Jones, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, John Conlee, John Anderson and Doug Stone to name a few. The label of “Traditional Country Artist” is one that Owens has certainly earned.
Owens was also recently one of the many artists that participated in the 1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time. : A Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis held last month in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena, with performances from Garth Brooks, Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Chris Young, Travis Tritt, Jeff Foxworthy, Wynonna, Josh Turner, Kane Brown, Chris Janson, William Michael Morgan, Michael Ray, Rodney Atkins, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Joe Nichols, Ricky Skaggs, Michael W. Smith, Tanya Tucker, Neal McCoy, Alison Krauss, Phil Vassar, Ben Haggard, Scott McCreery, James Dupre, Ricky Traywick, Chuck Wicks, Daryle Singletary, Mark Chesnutt, and Paul Overstreet; Featuring: The Randy Travis Band.
Travis was one of the producers on Owens’ album so what an honor to be a performer at an event of a lifetime.
Watch the video below to hear what Owens has coming up, where you can see him and how you can keep up with what he is doing. Make sure you grab your copy of the new album, you will be very glad you did.
