Drake White is no stranger to touring and playing his heart out around the country and is about to embark on his first headlining tour to support his debut album Spark.  White has said that he is dedicated to staying true to the soul and art of the music and bringing the "feel" back into the lyrics and songs, he holds true to that with his soulful and emotional vocals combined with thought provoking lyrics.  White wrote or co-wrote 11 of the tracks on this album and he gives fans a lot of uniqueness in this project by using snippets of sermons delivered by his grandfather.  There is a little something for everyone on this album and while White never took the easy road to this destination, he has made this wait worthwhile, noting "There are many different paths. And mine was just in a van with a trailer,” he says. “I wanted to have a group of guys that went out and did it the hard way and learned from people like Zac Brown and Eric Church, and these guys that did years of hard touring. There were definitely times where I was like, screw this. But now that I look back it’s a perfectly fitted puzzle piece. It gave me everything I desired.”

Check out the Official Press Release below for all the information on where you can catch White when the Spark Tour hits a town near you as well as how you can help him win the "Artist of Tomorrow" which would give him the opportunity to be featured during GRAMMY Live® which will stream online at CBS.comGRAMMY.com and across platforms through the CBS App leading into of the 59th Annual GRAMMY® Awards broadcast.

NASHVILLE, TN (February 3, 2017) – Excitement builds as Drake White preps his first headline tour in support of his debut album. The SPARK TOUR 2017 will traverse across the United States beginning this Saturday (2/4) in Bangor, ME. White will bring his signature bluesy drawl and quick-witted freestyle antics to sold-out venues and budding audiences in New York, Boston, and two hometown shows in Nashville, proving why Forbes declares: "Drake’s one of those rare people who has it all: stage presence, creativity as a writer, an incredible voice. But he’s also got this rare combination of confidence and humility."

“The adrenaline is racing through my veins as we begin this next run of shows,” shares White – who was dubbed one of Entertainment Weekly’s “10 New Artists Who Will Rule 2017.” ”The band’s ready, I’m ready, and we are beyond blessed to bring our live experience to the fans and continue to do it bigger and better in 2017. This is just the beginning of a great year.”

White will continue the momentum in Nashville has he performs during the 2017 CRS New Faces showcases, handpicked by Country radio programmers nationwide. The “Making Me Look Good Again” singer finds himself among other rising artists during Country Radio Seminar in Nashville as his single gains recognition by critics. Billboard surmises: "Behind every great man is a great woman. The idea isn’t new, but it’s rarely expressed with as much passion as Drake White applies in his new single, ‘Makin’ Me Look Good Again.’”

About Laura Lou

Laura Lou Journalist

Beginning about age 13, music always been my “safe place”, my “escape”, it became a part of who I am. My background includes being a photographer/journalist for newspapers, magazines and radio stations and more recently I have been an artist manager. What I continue to strive to learn is, what is important to the fans/readers? I find that the answer is always that they want to feel close to the artist they are supporting. The human contact that we all need is something that I want to deliver to anyone that happens to read something I write or see a photograph I shoot. It is important to me to provide that experience, because I am, after all, still always a “fan” and that giddy 13-year-old girl is simply amazed! I never imagined that my passion and love for music would lead me where I am today! I use the hashtag #iamtheluckiestgirliknow because I cannot believe how blessed I am! I’m excited to see “what happens next” and take you all along with me! This is going to be amazing…
