Conversations with Missy: Tarra Layne

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of NBC’s hit television show The Voice. I have been very lucky to have been given the opportunities to interview many of the contestants over the last 10 seasons. Until now, I have never been given the opportunity to interview a contestant prior to the season premier. Thanks to Ryan Fulps, President of Clutch32 (Celebrity Publicity Firm), I was given the amazing opportunity to speak with the extremely talented Tarra Layne, who auditioned for season 11 of The Voice.

While we could not speak in detail about her audition and the result, Layne was happy to tell me about the experience of singing for four extremely talented vocalists as judges. For the first time ever, The Voice has two female judges. Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys will no doubt bring some serious competition to Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Listen to our full conversation now to hear which judge Layne was most excited to see and perform for.

Aside from auditioning for The Voice, Layne has already experienced success with her music. As a singer for the Mattel company, Layne has landed the opportunity to sing lead vocals in the new Monster High movie which is due to be released on September 27, 2016.

Layne has a remarkable voice that enables her to sing any music genre from jazz and blues to country and rock. Her personality during a live performance ignites the audience, creating an addictive experience for all. Her music videos are fun, but it is her songwriting skills that struck me. My favorite song is definitely “I Thought That Bitch Moved.” Go check it out.

You will definitely want to listen to our full conversation for the story behind that title. I am sure many of you can relate to it. This girl is not only full of talent and quick wit, she is down to earth, easy to talk to and so much fun.  Be sure to check out her website for more information, download her latest EP Once You Go Red and do not forget to follow her on social media. As always we have made it easy for you, so all you have to do is click. I know who I will be watching for during tonight’s premier of The Voice season 11. I hope you join Center Stage Magazine in wishing this brilliant artist all the best on her musical journey. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
