Conversations with Missy: Pat Pollifrone of Adairs Run

When two bouncers at a bar and grill found out they had music in common, they decided to create a sound of their own, leaving the “awful jukebox music” behind. Though Todd Hanchock and Pat Pollifrone started as a duo, Adairs Run now has 4 members with the addition of Ian Daughtry and Chad Yager.

During my conversation with Pollifrone, he explained how he and Hanchock met in college. After realizing they had the same musical taste, the duo began playing open mic nights and bars. The change that brought two more members to the band was the opportunity to open for Brett Michaels. Listen to our full conversation now to hear Pollifrone recall those events and more.

We spoke about the many festivals and events they have played as well as the ones they will be playing soon. These guys have a busy calendar and have had the opportunity to share the stage with acts such as Jason Aldean, Tyler Farr, Florida Georgia Line and more. Opening up for Michaels may have opened the door to many shows, but it is their talent that got them where they are today.

Adairs Run has released their first EP (featuring Chris Daughtry) Turn Back the Miles in May 2016. They are also set to record a full-length studio album in 2017. Their single “Hungover You” has been gaining the attention of listeners all over. Having radio play at an increasing number of radio stations from Alaska to West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Illinois, Adairs Run will soon be on a station near you.

Please be sure to follow this fantastic foursome on social media now. Send them a message, give their page a like and share and definitely check out their tunes. I am torn between “Broke Down on the Interstate” and “I’m Good For It.” Let me know which one is your favorite. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
