CMA Fest Artist Spotlight: Genevieve Allen
Next up is our CMA Fest Artist Spotlight feature Genevieve Allen. This horse loving girl found a home in country music. Her passion for life and her music shines through each of her amazing performances. Check out her bio (taken from her website) below for more information on this spectacular artist.
“Born and raised in the Gulf Coast region of Texas, Genevieve grew up competing in rodeos and working the family farm. Music has always been an important part of her life, and she studied classical piano from the time she was 6 years old. But Genevieve's musical world changed forever when her best friend turned on the radio and she heard her very first country song, one by Garth Brooks. That summer she fell in love with country music. Not much has changed for Genevieve in the last few years: she still rides horses, but now she lives in Tennessee and has moved her love of music from listener to performer.
Genevieve's album "Whiskey Kisses" was released early in Spring 2014. Her sound has been called "Nash-Tex" by those who have heard it. Influenced by Garth Brooks, George Strait, Chris Ledoux, and other such artists, Genevieve's sound combines the traditional country of Nashville with the undeniably Texan feel of cowboys and wide open spaces.”
When we asked Allen what she had coming up, she was happy to tell us about a made for TV mini-series she has been cast in. Big Sky is a family friendly tv mini-series centered around the American Expansion with Native Americans. She is also played the “Big Sky” benefit concert on Friday June 9, 2016.
