On February 8, 2017, at 7pm at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN., the Country Music Family came together in epic proportions to pay tribute to one of its own.  The star-studded 1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time: A Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis had been adding performers who wanted to come out and support not only a member of their music family, but also join forces to raise money for a personal cause with a portion of the proceeds designated to the Randy Travis Foundation; a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides support for victims of strokes and cardiovascular diseases as well as arts and entertainment education for at-risk children. For more information, visit www.randytravisfoundation.org.

One thing that has always held true with this genre, is that they take care of their own.  Travis has been such an influence in so many of these performers’ lives and what better way to celebrate this recent Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee, than to all come together, on one night, at one place, one time.  When asked where the event got its name, Producer Tony Conway replied, “The reason we named this 1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time is because it truly is that. The evening will not be filmed or aired on television or anywhere else. If you want to experience this amazing lineup, you’ve got to be in the audience tonight.”

Whether you were there as a fan, a performers, a guest, or a member of the media, there was at least one moment, in that one place, on that one night that you remember as a special moment.  We look forward to sharing all of our coverage with you in the coming days, so please stay tuned for that.

About Laura Lou

Laura Lou Journalist

Beginning about age 13, music always been my “safe place”, my “escape”, it became a part of who I am. My background includes being a photographer/journalist for newspapers, magazines and radio stations and more recently I have been an artist manager. What I continue to strive to learn is, what is important to the fans/readers? I find that the answer is always that they want to feel close to the artist they are supporting. The human contact that we all need is something that I want to deliver to anyone that happens to read something I write or see a photograph I shoot. It is important to me to provide that experience, because I am, after all, still always a “fan” and that giddy 13-year-old girl is simply amazed! I never imagined that my passion and love for music would lead me where I am today! I use the hashtag #iamtheluckiestgirliknow because I cannot believe how blessed I am! I’m excited to see “what happens next” and take you all along with me! This is going to be amazing…
