Seven Comic Night Breakdown, Part Three, Denise Shue

I hope our readers have been keeping up with our continued article of this Seven Comic Night Breakdown. This is where I was able to speak with the awesomely funny lady, Denise Shue, in our third part of this particular On The Spot Talk segment with me, Dilly Brigs.

Denise happened to walk up as I was wrapping our audio with Headliner Keith Reza and HBO,BET veteran, Darryl Blackshere, so I was able to manage another On The Spot Talk, but this time with one of the funny ladies of the night.

About mid-way through the show, we were introduced to Ms. Denise Shue, a Chinese dental hygienist from Chino, California. She was our fifth Comic of the night and not only had our table in hysterics, but all the rest of the club was laughing, at just her approach. She came dressed to thrill. Wearing a hot pink, mid-drift, fringed cowboy jacket, with a big black cowboy hat, covered in shiny sparkly stones and matching black boots, she walked on stage carrying a big bleeping camera, with an over-sized flash bulb and was taking pictures of the crowd up close. As she was making people squint, she said very enthusiastically in her cute Chinese accent, "Look, I am making everyone Chinese too!" Ha, ha, ha. Hilarious intro! Later Denise drops her fake Chinese accent as she reveals she grew up in Chino, California... A far cry from China itself. LOL

I loved speaking with Denise Shue. She has such great energy about her and was very on the ball with jokes both on and off the stage. If you click on the audio interview you can hear Denise explain to us that it was her sister who got her comedy classes for her birthday, because she thought Denise was that funny....and she did not want her brain to atrophy. To Denise's sister - you were SO right! Denise is that funny and as you can hear in our audio, she is ready and would like to get discovered now. So if any talent agents are reading this and looking.... Denise Shue is available. I was very happy I got to speak with Denise. I loved her act. I would go see her again. She had all of us laughing with her back and forth fake Chinese accent...as she awkwardly "hit" on the men in the front rows, using her fake accent. If you can imagine a cute hot pink fringed cowgirl with a Chinese accent and giggling, then you can imagine what it was like to see Denise this night, and you would have been giggling too.

We liked her sense of humor and think you will too. She is a regular at the Improv so if you see her name on a lineup, catch her act. She will make you laugh. Now do not forget to check back here again for our next and last part of our breakdown of this Seven Comic Night.

Next up? Mr. Wade Wammer..... stay tuned!

I am a Funny Cali girl, who grew up being part of a band family of friends (VISITOR) since I was a teen, so I'm no stranger when it comes to the music scene. Though I've held many job titles from, certified florist to writing pitches for sales companies, my career goals changed when I became a mother to a child affected with Autism and Epilepsy. I have since turned my hobby of seeing, sanity saving entertainment and my love of writing into a career. I studied and earned my writing degree with the Institute Of Children's Literature in West Redding, CT.  and later I was recommended and offered the opportunity to continue my studies with their sister school, The Long Ridge Writers Group, also in West Redding, CT. learning to write in adult genre as well. I am proud to now be a writer for Center Stage Magazine and I look forward to bringing the best of the entertainment scene to you.... Our awesome readers, who make this all possible!
