Parade Magazine Exclusively Premieres the Title Track to Hefley's Debut EP

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  As Parade Magazine proclaims, "If you’re looking for someone who really knows how to go for it, country artist Bailey Hefley is “So That Girl” (Parade.com / Laura Whitmore). The rave review comes as Hefley releases the title track to her forthcoming EP, available everywhere today.

Hefley co-penned “So That Girl” with Jamie O’Neal and Ava Suppelsa.

The rising country songstress will perform her new single on WSMV's 'Today in Nashville' next Thursday, July 18. Additional upcoming performances include joining her producer and ACM award-winning Jamie O'Neal at 3rd and Lindsley for NASH FM's Rhythm and Boots in Nashville on July 24 and returning to her home state of Arkansas to open up for country superstar Trace Adkins at the Bank OZK Arena on August 11.

On inspiration behind "So That Girl," Hefley explains, "I was hanging out with some friends one night, and this guy in our friend group’s girlfriend kept calling him over and over making him step outside to talk and basically creating so much drama," says Hefley on what inspired her new single. "I just thought, life is too short—find someone fun who appreciates you! So we wrote So That Girl."

Previously Hefley released a thoughtful empowerment song with smart lyrics you can’t help but sing along to (Cowboys & Indians / Kristin Brown) with her single "Dust on a Diamond," which she performed on legendary WSM-AM's 'Nashville Today.'

ABOUT BAILEY HEFLEY:
Bailey Hefley is “So That Girl” that loves writing about finding love, including the ups and downs, but you can’t blame her for believing in happy endings. She’s living proof that they exist. The Little Rock, Ark. native suffered debilitating seizures as a small child. The medication that saved her life also robbed her of her innocent enthusiasm for eight years and left her in a state of perpetual lethargy. She overcame those challenges and in 2016, developed a friendship/mentorship with artist Jamie O’Neal. Bailey will release her new EP, So That Girl, later this year. The six-song offering, all of which Bailey co-penned, has a song for every emotion that someone might experience falling in and out of love. The EP covers everything from heartbreak, to major crushing and wondering if they like you back, to that he-might-be-the-one feeling, all while being very worthy of turning up in the car. There are themes of broken trust in “Not Your Cinderella” and the mystery—and thrill—of the unknown in “Gotta Find Out,” while the title track serves as “a spirited case for why she’s the perfect fit for that perfect boy” (Parade Magazine / Laura Whitmore)

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
