CMA Fest 2018 with Missy: Cowboy Troy

One of the most fascinating things about participating in the worlds arguably largest country music festival, CMA Fest, is that there is so much diversity in music under one roof. From classic country to modern country, to Hick-Hop, I am able to cover the many styles of country music that draws fans in from all over the world.

As I sat with Cowboy Troy, we discussed many different aspects of his career. From joining Big & Rich on stage to releasing his own music, meeting fans, and getting his music out, Troy has the ability to observe where he is, where he wants to be and formulates a plan to get desired results. It is his tenacity and determination that have led him on the path to success.

Sitting in admiration of Troy, I could not help but want to hear more. From the creative way he markets himself, to the mutual respect we have for John Rich sticking up for independent artists by allowing them to play at his new bar, Redneck Riviera for CMA Fest, to the reason behind the title of his latest album Laugh With Me, I was simply enthralled.

Troy is definitely an innovator when it comes to music. He has led the way for many others in the industry and continues to be a success. As he explained the reactions of others when it came to pioneering the Hick-Hop movement, Troy set an example by using those reactions to further himself. I would have to say that it has definitely paid off. Watch our full conversation now to learn more about this incredibly talented artist.

You can still find Troy on tour with Big & Rich, however, for more news and updates please visit his website and social media channels. Be sure to share those pages with your friends too. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
