Press Release: Grammy Award Winning Artist, John Berry, Hits #1 with "Don't Think I Ain't Country"
Kicking off our continued coverage of this year's Country Radio Seminar is the extremely talented John Berry. As soon as he sat down with me, we immediately picked up right where we left off. It always feels like I am sitting down with a really good friend when I talk with Berry, perhaps because we are both very similar.
We began our conversation talking about his new project Songs And Stories With John Berry. Season one of this program was filmed at Douglas Corner in Nashville, Tennessee. As Berry explained the process of filming and creating these unique episodes with artists we all know and love such as Collin Raye, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mo Pitney, and Craig Morgan just to name a few, he shared that season two will incorporate some key changes in order to share more of the fascinating stories behind the songs these artists write and record. One story that seemed to stand out to Berry was the one Raye shared about a Waylon Jennings song. Be sure to watch our full conversation now to learn more.
Not only will season two incorporate change within the program, the location has also changed. Switching their location to the Fontanel which is the former estate of Barbara Mandrell, fans were able to enjoy the experience of being in a musically historical venue while watching artists such as Bryan White, Jamey Johnson, and Pam Tillis share stories and songs. Be sure to check your local programming for the latest episodes of Songs And Stories With John Berry on stations such as the Heartland Network, The Family Channel, AMGTV, The Country Network, Keep It Country TV, and Country TV. Also available on DVD, you can order a physical copy and watch these episodes as often as you like.
As we continued our conversation, Berry shared what it was like to create his album What I Love The Most. Complete with a song written as a gift to his wife titled "There Could Never Be Another Love For Me But You", Berry explained what it was like writing this song with the late Rich Fagan and how much he enjoyed and misses his writing sessions with his friend.
