Conversations with Missy: Rick Monroe CMA Fest 2017

One of the greatest things about CMA Fest is the amount of free shows that take place for fans. There are several stages set up throughout the downtown Nashville area. One of those stages was home to Rick Monroe during CMA Fest 2017.

Performing at the Budweiser Forever Country Stage, Monroe was in for a treat and so were the fans. Geared more for Heritage Country music, fans were relaxing in rocking chairs and enjoying some classic country music. As Monroe took the stage in full view of the iconic Batman building, he and his audience were captivated by one another. Though Monroe may not have been what they were expecting, they were filled with delight during his performance and got up out of their rockers to enjoy the show. It is pretty safe to say that this is one show they will all remember fondly for years to come.

While sitting behind the scenes at CMA Fest in Music City Center (home to Fan Fair X), Monroe and I sat down to have a conversation. We spoke about his newest EP release Gypsy Soul and how it is making waves in the country music industry. His current single "This Side of You" is gaining ground on the music charts and fans are loving it.

Monroe continues to stay busy performing and admits to using his downtime while on the road to connect with his fans on social media. In this business, word of mouth is a big deal. Monroe strives to deliver what his fans want, great music. He knows that without his fans he would not be where he is, so he wants to make sure they are happy. I have no doubts that Monroe will continue to gain fans at each performance along the way. He definitely knows how to entertain a crowd and his vocal ability combined with songwriting skills is impressive.

As we continued our conversation, I noticed that Monroe had on a beautiful ring. After telling me it was from a company in California called Speakeasy Original I could not help but want to know more. Who would not want a great piece of jewelry inspired by an amazing artist? Since I like to share and Monroe is so fond of this company, click the link above to find a special gem for yourself. Your secret is safe with us.

If you have not yet followed Monroe on social media, please do so now. He is committed to staying connected to his fans while putting on stellar performances in a city near you. Stay tuned to his website for all the latest news, and do not forget to grab your copy of Gypsy Soul now. Be sure to share this with your friends. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
