Conversations with Missy: A Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis with Chris Janson
As many of you know, Country Legend Randy Travis suffered a massive stroke a little over 3 years ago that almost took his life. With a lot of therapy, constant encouragement and support by his wife Mary Davis, Travis has made incredible improvements with his speech and mobility.
Gathering together for a wonderful cause, some of Nashville's hottest stars united in honor of Travis, who is not only one of their heroes, but also a friend. This tribute concert was created to support the Randy Travis Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that raises money for stroke research and rehabilitation.
Among the many artists that performed during the tribute was Chris Janson. As a true and loyal fan of Travis, Janson beamed with excitement as he explained what it was like to get the invitation to perform at this special event.
During our conversation, Janson and I spoke about his music and even shared a few laughs. He mentioned his upcoming tour with Sam Hunt and Maren Morris, which is sure to be one hell of a show. I found myself very excited and saddened that the Nashville shows are already sold out as I have no chance of going. Feel free to take pity on me and take me along if you have an extra ticket.
One thing I loved about this fun conversation with Janson is how real and down to earth he is. When I asked him about who he was most excited to see at the Bridgestone Arena, considering the volumes of talent under one roof, his answer surprised and delighted me. Watch our video now and get ready to become an even bigger fan of this genuine and kind country artist. ~Missy
