For many parents, having a child is a happy experience with normal hurdles. For some parents; however, the experience of having a child that requires special medical needs is often stressful and scary. These families learn a new "normal" and experience life completely differently from that point on. Thanks to organizations like Geeks for Kourageous Kids and the Orange County Ronald McDonald House (OCRMH), families are able to experience peace, laughter, and joy while their child receives medical care.

Chad and Jaime Osuna know from experience, the importance of bringing happiness to families and children at places like CHOC (Children's Hospital Orange County). After experiencing special medical needs for one of their own children, the Osuna's realized they needed to bring something positive and uplifting to patients and their families.

As avid Superhero fans, the Osuna's got to work on a plan. Creating the organization Geeks 4 Kourageous Kids was a no brainer. Already affiliated with Fanboy Nation, their level of passion, and contacts, they soon started delivering smiles and happy tears to many children and their families.

At the 2016 OCRMH Christmas Party, hosted by the Great Wolf Lodge some well known faces joined the festivities. Michael Taber and Ciara Hanna turned heads and brought excitement to many of the children in attendance. These two celebrities, both of whom portrayed Power Rangers on the hit television shows Power Rangers Megaforce series and Power Ranger Dino Charge series, were more than happy to pose for pictures and speak to everyone at the party. Some of the children were shy, while others were so excited they burst into tears.

The entire room was filled with elation as the children mingled with Batman, Prince Hans, Darth Vader, Merida, Mrs. Claus, and more. This was by far an incredible night for all in attendance. Special Thanks to the Osuna family for their part in providing smiles and magic to each of these children and their families.

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
