Conversations with Missy: Cody Jinks
When Center Stage Magazine comes across an artist that is unique, extremely talented, addicting and fun, we do our best to get interviews with them. These artists deserve to be heard by everyone. I for one am so excited that we have been able to speak to over 200 of them so far. Our next artist is everything described and more. Cody Jinks is a name that you need to remember and has a voice and style that you will not soon forget.
While we attended Stagecoach Festival 2016 in Indio, California, I was able to watch Jinks for the first time. Like many other fans there, I was completely drawn in by his stage presence. His vocals were captivating and I was completely enthralled with his performance. As Tommy Lemon captured great shots of him on stage, I could not help but notice the continuous flow of fans flocking to the tent-covered stage to see who this talented artist was.
During the conversation I had with Jinks, we spoke about his experience at Stagecoach. This was the first time either of us had attended this festival and we both agree it will not be the last. Jinks recalled his experience along with the amazing accommodations provided to the artists by festival staff. Listen to our conversation now for all the details. With his new album I’m Not the Devil dropping on August 12, 2016, fans are full of excitement and anticipation. The success of the first two releases off this album has created a frenzy. “Chase That Song” is the perfect summer fun song that is catchy and will have you moving along with the upbeat tempo. When I spoke to Jinks about this song, he remarked that it is “fun as hell to play.”
