Conversations with Missy: Kelly Rae

At this year’s Stagecoach festival in Indio, California, I met with Kelly Rae of the Kelly Rae Band. Known for her high-energy, six-piece country band, Rae has been entertaining crowds all over Southern California and other parts of the world for years. From giant festivals to fairs, private events, and more, Rae has rocked every stage she has been on, proving she has what it takes to thrive in the music world.

Fans are exhilarated at each of her performances. Singing hit songs from a wide range of country music artists from Patsy Cline to Carrie Underwood gives everyone in the audience a reason to smile. Rae’s voice is smooth, powerful and welcomed by all who hear her. The band’s ability to keep the crowds entertained have no doubt played a part in the band’s success in opening for artists Miranda Lambert, Terri Clark and Neal McCoy just to name a few.

During our conversation, we spoke about the experience of performing at Stagecoach along with what it has been like having her daughters follow in her footsteps. Her daughters perform in the band A.
