CRS50 with Missy: Farewell Angelina
With the release of their newest single, "Hillbilly 401K", it is hard not to immediately love the girls of Farewell Angelina. Comprised of four unique women (Andrea Young, Elizabeth Elkins, Lisa Torres and Nicole Witt), this girl band has a number of credits that will blow your mind.
During my conversation with Witt, she spoke highly of each of the girls and their talents. It was refreshing to see that there is so much positivity and talent among them. Though all four girls have only been together the last year and a half, they are turning heads every time they play.
With songs like, "Hillbilly 401K" and their unique cover of "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, these women have showcased their vocal abilities, impressive songwriting skills and alluring personalities. The energy they display on stage is contagious and brings fans to their feet, singing and dancing along. Maybe it is their chemistry together, but these ladies connect to the audience each performance delivering feelings of exhilaration to all who watch them. They are captivating.
Witt did a great job of crediting her fellow member's talent though I wanted to know more about her. This fantastic songwriter is featured on the Nashville Songwriters Association website and has had several songs recorded by Lee Brice, George Strait, Kenny Rogers and Rodney Adkins just to name a few. That is definitely something worth feeling great about.
Be on the lookout for a show near you. You will not want to miss their stunning showcase. This summer they will be performing at the Moondance Jammin' Country Fest on June 16, 2016, in Walker, Minnesota. If you enjoy music festivals, you will no doubt love this one.
