Conversations with Missy: Jeremy Gross from Within Reach

For those of you who like more than just country music, you NEED to check out this band! Within Reach is a Metalcore band that came out of the gate strong. Winning 3rd place in a Battle of the Bands as their first performance was not only remarkable, it was the catalyst that has no doubt kept them striving for more. With Carlos Herrera providing the lead vocals, Junior Jacobs on guitar, Eddie Madrano on Bass, Jake Raines on lead guitar and Jeremy Gross on drums/clean vocals, you have a band of talented guys driven to succeed. They are smart and unwavering in this tough business. They know what they want and they are reaching for it all. 

I recently caught up with drummer/clean vocals, Jeremy Gross, in Victorville, CA for an in-depth conversation. I was immediately intrigued by him. His passion for his craft was so inspiring. Behind the scenes, we laughed a lot as we encountered some funny moments while trying to film, and his personality made our conversation feel as though I had known him for years. These are the moments that I love the most. Connecting with an artist you have never met and instantly wanting to share them with everyone you meet is pretty astonishing. 

These guys all hold day jobs, yet they are working hard to make their dreams a reality. They are doing everything in their power to make it happen the right way. I asked Jeremy about the name of their band and how they came up with it. The answer, to put it simply, was moving. It was the answer that I think many will benefit from. We can all relate to it. We can all learn from it. It applies to me and I am sure it will also apply to you.

I have no doubts that Jeremy and his fellow band mates will succeed. They have shown they have what it takes. The tenacity and perseverance they possess is wondrous. How did this group of guys from various parts of, as they say, "Middle-of-Nowhere Southern California" open for bands the likes of Buckcherry and Kottonmouth Kings? Well, they have an amazing talent with an unmistakable, winning attitude. 

In December 2014, Within Reach released their first EP titled, "Anchors Away" with their debut single and music video, "This War".
