Center Stage Magazine is honored to exclusively premiere Kelly Lang's "Down In Destin" off her new album 'Dragonfly' available everywhere now. Over the years, Lang has released many beautifully written songs filled with relatable stories, and "Down In Destin" is definitely one we can relate to. For those that enjoy the peace and tranquility the ocean brings, "Down In Destin" is a song that will reignite your desire to plan a return trip to your favorite beach. Basking in the sun, watching the dolphins swim and play, and listening to the waves break on the shore as the sky changes color is something that brings calmness to your soul. When we asked Lang about the song, here is what she said.
"Destin Florida is my favorite place on earth with its pristine white sand beaches and laid back, relaxing atmosphere. It is where I go to unwind. I wanted to write a song to commemorate my love for this place I hope to retire in someday. The song “Down In Destin” takes the listener on a drive with me to get away from a love gone bad to heal on the beautiful beach. My favorite line in the song is “in the place that I believe’s closest to heaven, Down In Destin.”
