As many of our readers know, we have a special place in our hearts for the Oak Ridge Boys. Enjoying their yearly Christmas shows has become a tradition for us. Not only do they perform some of their "must hear" hits such as "Elvira", but they also perform Christmas originals and the classics we all loved growing up as children. This year marks the second year that the Oak Ridge Boys have held a residency at the Tennessee Ballroom at the Opryland Hotel. With the beautiful atmosphere within the Opryland hotel and the activities available to patrons including ice skating, boat rides, water shows, and Christmas lights everywhere, fans from near and far were thrilled to be a part of all the festivities. Many were heard oversaying that it was the perfect venue and were beaming with satisfaction.

Joe Bonsall, Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, and Richard Sterban each bring their own magic to this show and engage fans with stories of their childhood. Still making hearts swoon with their vibrant personalities, stage presence, abundant energy, and impeccable vocals make this show one that can be seen over and over as if it is a new experience each and every time.

Children are the focus of this special Christmas show whether it is an actual child in the audience enjoying the beautiful lights, or the grown adult that has the spirit of a child within them. Having Santa be a part of their performance was not only exceptional, it was emotional as we watched children line up to meet Santa Claus and have their special "moment" with the "Jolly Old Elf". The wonder in each of those child's eyes brought tears to mine. This show is one that is truly welcoming to all. Young or old, the Oak Ridge Boys Christmas show brings joyful hearts together as one as everyone joins in harmony to sing "Silent Night". Being caught up in the glorious feeling of Christmas was magical and it was easy to see that the entire audience did not want the night to end.

If you are looking for a little Christmas magic in your life, I encourage you to get your tickets to one of their next shows! There are plenty of Christmas shows at the Opryland Hotel left to attend. Who knows, you might just see us at another one. To make things even more fun, I suggest getting a room at the Opryland Hotel to enjoy all the surrounding activities and incredibly beautiful decor. Be sure to follow the Oak Ridge Boys on social media to stay up to date on all the latest news and show dates. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
