In the world of interviews, it is important to make the artist feel comfortable and avoid any awkward moments of silence or discomfort. Though sometimes despite your best efforts those moments still occur from time to time. If you are lucky, however, you will form a bond with some of these artists and conversations will naturally flow. This is the case with country artist Zach Stone.

When I first met Stone, I instantly felt a family type of connection with him. His upbeat personality, ability to make everyone around him laugh and overall entertaining and fun stories have indeed made him a great artist to interview. It is the connection to Stone in a sibling type of way that made this CMA fest interview one for the books.

Before the camera began rolling in the Music City Center at this year's Country Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, we were already sharing an incredible amount of laughter. In fact, you can see during the introduction of the interview that we were already caught up in having a good time. This is why I do what I do. You just never know what is going to take place behind the scenes at events like CMA Fest.

Stone is one of the many talented artists here in town that fans need to get to know a bit more. Not only is as I call him my "adopted kid brother" a gifted songwriter and singer, but he is also one of the most genuine down to Earth individuals. Yes, he likes to laugh, get silly (as you can clearly see during our conversation), and entertain everyone, but he also has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I have ever met and seriously cares about each person he works with, his fans, and everyone who he has the chance to meet. Watch our full conversation now to get a glimpse of Stone being the amazing kid brother he is to me as well finding out which boy bands we are huge fans of.

If you are just now meeting this artist for the first time, be sure to watch our previous conversations for more fun with Stone. His latest release "Hands On" is one of the catchiest tunes of the summer and will no doubt be a great addition to your playlist. Be sure to grab his single "Sorry and Lonely" too as the song itself is genius. Not only does Stone have an incredible story to tell himself, but he also has the ability to see life through the eyes of others and is able to play out those stories perfectly for everyone creating extremely relatable content that fans cannot get enough of.  Stone's music also reflects who he is brilliantly and his vocals will leave you wanting to hear more. As always, be sure to follow Stone on social media and head over to his website for all the latest news and updates. You will not be sorry. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
