Conversations with Missy: Drew Baldridge
When it comes time to schedule artist interviews for events such as CMA Fest, I become a little needy. The reason being that if I have connected with an artist previously, I cannot leave them off my schedule as we simply must reconnect and have fun. This was absolutely the case with rising country artist Drew Baldridge.
Long after the media room was closed at the famed Music City Center in Nashville, Baldridge made his way over to the historic Printer's Alley to have a conversation with me backstage at Alley Taps during our Indie Fest 3.0. I could not help but smile as soon as I saw his happy face. I knew we were about to have a good time.
We had a lot to catch up on since our last conversation and wasted no time getting right into it all. During our conversation, we discussed his recent radio tour, stories behind his music, talked about food, playing it safe, and so much more. Baldridge even shared how he is using fans to make decisions on which songs to release as singles. Are you curious? Watch our full conversation now to discover more.
Baldridge has definitely been working hard to develop music that is true to who he is. Creating a sound that is unique to himself allows Baldridge to deliver emotionally authentic music to the fans that know, love, and support him as well as the new fans just waiting to discover him. Do yourself a favor and grab his music now if you have not already done so. Be sure to follow him on social media and stay tuned for all the latest news and updates. You do not want to miss out. ~Missy
About CMA Fest
The Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience™ began in 1972 as Fan Fair®, which drew 5,000 fans to Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. Now in its 48th year, the legendary festival has become the city’s signature Country Music event that hosts tens of thousands of fans from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and 37 international countries. In 2019, CMA Fest featured 11 official stages with hundreds of artists performing—all to benefit music education. CMA Fest is a one-of-a-kind festival with artists donating their time to perform so ticket proceeds can directly benefit high-quality music programs across the country through the CMA Foundation. CMA Fest is filmed for a primetime ABC Television Network special airing Sunday, Aug. 4, with 2019 marking the 16th consecutive year the event has been filmed for television, a feat no other music festival has achieved.
