NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ray Scott releases a "catchy full-blooded cowboy tune" (Cowboys & Indians) with his new single “Honky Tonk Heart,” available today.

The single, which exclusively premiered on Cowboys & Indians, is the title track off Scott's highly-anticipated EP set for release March 1, now available for pre-order. Fans who pre-order the EP will instantly receive a free download of "Honky Tonk Heart."

“This is my life,” Scott says. “And it’s an ode to all the other troubadours out there grinding it out on the dark highways, taking the people real country music they can get excited about.”

The single was penned by Scott and features "bold electric-guitar riffs and a restrained percussion line, the song really showcases Scott’s vocals, his Southern drawl shining front and center" (Cowboys & Indians). "Honky Tonk Heart" was produced by Michael Hughes, who Scott collaborated with on his previous album Guitar For Sale.

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
