Tap Into Indie: Chesapeake Sons

Rounding out this week's Tap Into Indie Series is the talented and fun group Chesapeake Sons. Having this amazing band perform at the first Heart Songs Corporation and Center Stage Magazine Independent Artist Showcase was amazing. The crowd loved them and so did we.

After their performance, we headed backstage at Alley Taps for our interview. They had me laughing almost immediately. The chemistry between these guys in undeniable. I honestly found myself wanting to hang out after the interview so I could get to know them all even better.

The Chesapeake Sons absolutely know how to rock a crowd. When the crowd is having a good time, they band works even harder, feeding off their energy. That is what a show should be. That is what everyone looks forward to. That is a huge part of the recipe for success. Another part of that recipe is taking the time to invest in each of the people that have made an effort to be at a show. Watch our full conversation now to hear the Chesapeake Sons view on the importance of making the time to connect with their audience. I have so much respect for artists that do this, and so do their fans.

I thoroughly enjoyed talking with these guys. We laughed and may have gotten silly due to exhaustion, the high of performing, or maybe even an after-show drink, but we had a great time. I even had something in common with one of the boys that I never saw coming. To learn what that is, simply hit play on the video above.

If you have not yet followed them on social media, please do it now. You are going to love connecting with them as much as I have. They have got new music lined up for you as well and you will not want to miss out on any of it. If you have time, send them a shout-out and tell them I sent you. Be sure to catch them at a show if you enjoy having a good time as well. You will only be sorry if you do not go. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
