For those of you who do not know, Ray Scott is one hell of a musician and I am so proud to call him a friend. Not only does he have the God-given gift of a powerful baritone voice, he was graced with one of the best personalities known to man. His quick wit and perfect delivery make every conversation amazing.
This artist has gained countless fans by being himself. Although many can quickly see that Scott has a great sense of humor in addition to his talent, I can honestly say that he also has one of the biggest hearts ever made. Scott took a chance on me early on and has allowed me the opportunity to get to know him and follow his hard work.
This blessing is not something I will ever take lightly. I am grateful to Scott for each of the moments he has included me in on during his career. Watching as his remarkable talent has propelled him into success has been thrilling for me. The songwriting skills that Ray possesses have the power to make you laugh, make you cry, and most importantly make you think. Real situations, deep emotion, and the painful truth can bring a person to their knees. Scott has been able to do just that with his powerful lyrics.
When Scott first shared his single "Livin' This Way" with me before its release, I cried. This man, this artist, is a human being. He has suffered through life challenges like anyone else. Unlike many of us, he has been able to write those truths down for all to hear. The ability to be vulnerable in front of others is something that not all of us are capable of. Scott has not only proven that he is a soul worth knowing, he has proven that there are also souls worth saving. I will forever admire this man and his extreme amount of talent, courage, humor, and kind heart.
