Tap Into Indie: Jake Worthington
Most of you know how much we love our Independent Artists. This next cat is one of the coolest people I have ever met. Jake Worthington has become one of our close friends here at Center Stage Magazine.
Like many of you, we first saw Worthington during his time on The Voice as a member of Team Blake. His voice and personality immediately drew me in. As one of the most humble artists I have met, Worthington also makes me laugh during our conversations. We share stories, our passion, thoughts, fears, and more.
Watching Worthington admire one of his country heroes on stage during the Center Stage Magazine and Heart Songs Corporation Independent Artist Showcase at Alley Taps was simply beautiful. Wade Hayes is one of the artists that Worthington has admired for many years. Knowing that he was going to be able to see his hero on stage and then play on the very same one was extremely special for us.
Kylie Mac and I had the pleasure of being able to speak with Worthington after the show. We spoke about his career in music, his new EP Hell Of A Highway and the inspiration for the title, being a fan, Adam Sandler, and so much more. We laughed as we shared experiences and thoughts, we might have even stumped him with a question or two.
Please be sure to check out Worthington's website, like and follow him on social media, share his pages with your friends, grab a copy of his EP, and do not forget to head over to our Facebook page to watch his performance at our showcase. As always, stay tuned for more from this great artist coming soon. ~Missy
