FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Country-Rocker Mark Mackay Releases
New Album—Trials & Tribulations

On Tour Now with Joe Nichols and Jackie Lee

(Nashville, Tenn. -- May 1, 2017) -- Southern California’s country-rocker Mark Mackay has released his new album, Trials & Tribulations, intertwining his west-coast lifestyle with country appeal, one guitar lick at a time. The project is available for download via major digital retailers, and physicals can be purchased at Mackay’s live shows.

“This album compiles my personal songwriting and co-written material, along with outside finds, but all of the tracks remain true to my artistry,” said Mackay. “I think the flow of this album has a quality that traditional country fans will appreciate, while including enough mainstream influence for today’s audience.”

Trials & Tribulations was recorded in Los Angeles with producer, Phil Dixon and mixed by Christian James Hand. With half of the eight-track collection written solely by Mackay, the project exemplifies his evocative songwriting and authentic sound that sits at the crossroads of country and rock-and-roll.

Los Angeles’ Lucky Strike Live will host Mackay’s album release party on May 11, which will include performances from Tina Michelle and the Rhinestone Cowboys and Bleeding Harp as well as Mackay.

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
