Connecting with people is important in life. Our next CMA Fest Artist Spotlight is one I know you will love connecting to. Kylie Mac gained the attention of many with her love of rock while on American Idol. Perhaps it was her ability to cover Bon Jovi that got my attention, but it was her personality that drew me in.

Mac has a lot going for her. The vocal abilities she possesses and her love for life combined with her experiences, challenges, and emotional heartbreaks are going to catapult this young female artist right to the top. Her family will support her every step of the way and so will we. Please check out this sneak peek of her bio (taken from her website) below and then watch our full conversation to learn more about this refreshing new talent.

“Kylie Mac (Age 18) is an American singer/songwriter.  With a blend of southern rock and traditional country, her powerhouse vocals make her a standout singer and performer in her genre.

Hailing from a military family, her musical influence is rooted in patriotism, faith, and family.  Her stirring, personal rendition of the National Anthem has earned her standing ovations at over 50 events all over the state of California.

Kylie began singing at the age of 4 and began performing in local talent shows at age 10.  In July 2010, at the age of 13, Kylie entered the California Mid-State Fair Talent Competition.  She won Grand Champion against contestants ranging in age from 10-21 years.  This would be the first of four consecutive wins in the competition.  It would also be the true start of her musical journey.  In February of 2013 , Kylie was selected to open for country artist McKenna Faith.   In May of that year, while singing at a PBR finals event, Kylie came to the attention of Stan Lee Power Concerts.  She was selected to open for Daughtry in June of that year for a crowd of 7,000 people.  The following summer, Kylie was selected among over 5000 singers to travel to Nashville for American Country Star.  She would eventually make the semi-finals, performing a song she wrote and received rave reviews from a panel of Grammy-winning producers and songwriters.  Following the success at ACS, Kylie competed in SoCal Icon and became a finalist.  It was here that she drew the attention of Dani Thompson and DNT entertainment.  She signed to DNT in November of 2014.  Most recently, Kylie was selected by the USO to perform the National Anthem for Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band.

Through her relationship with DNT, Kylie was introduced to the stellar producers of Royal Fire Music Group.  She is currently in the studio, recording her first official single and preparing to shoot her first video.

Kylie’s philosophy on life and music is very simple.  She lives by the mantra “No Dream Is Too Big”.  If you ask her, she will tell you simply: “I don’t want to be the NEXT anybody.  I want to be the FIRST me”.”

Be sure to follow Mac on social media, check out her website and discover where she will be next. Do not miss out on your chance to rock with this extremely talented young artist. Send her a shout out and tell her I sent you. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
