Being raised in a small town like Oologah, Oklahoma there are some things you can not escape. One being a “real” cowboy and the other is everyone knows your name. We had the opportunity to catch up with Paul Bogart, Oologah native, during Country Radio Seminar in Nashville and he had a lot to share with us.
Bogart shared that he has been competing in the American Quarter Horse Association Rodeo circuit since he was a teenager and it helped pay his way through college. Bogart learned how to ride and compete from his father and has since won several World Championship titles. He needed to make a decision between rodeo and music and while he put music in the forefront, rodeo is still in his blood.
With a two-year-old and new baby at home, Bogart has taken some time with his family and has finally released his first album in four years, titled Leather.

We also learned that Bogart returned to his hometown to shoot the music video for the single, “All That Cowboy Jazz”, at a local venue that has always supported him and his career. The venue, The Ironhorse, returned the favor and dedicated the dance floor with Bogart’s name and single title displayed on the center. Watch as he tells how that affected him when he saw it for the first time.
