CRS 2018 with Missy: Case Donahew

by Missy Wolf / 96 days ago / Comments

Having the ability to reconnect with artists that I have grown very fond of while at this year's Country Radio Seminar (CRS) was an extra special treat for me. I first met Casey Donahew during an interview at CMA Fest 2017.

Donahew is one of the biggest Independent Artists in Texas. With a loyal fan base, busy tour schedule, well-written songs, and killer stage presence, it is no wonder that Donahew has experienced a successful career.

As I sat with Donahew at CRS, we talked about what he has been doing since our last conversation. With the release of a new album 15 Years- The Wild Ride, in 2017, Donahew admitted that he is already working an making a new record. Curious if he was switching gears at all, Donahew explained that he is always going to do things his way, remaining true to himself in an effort to bring "Cowboy" music back.

Knowing that Donahew is from Texas, I asked about some of the recent natural disasters occurring in the state. Though Donahew was not personally affected by the floods in Houston, he had friends who were. In an effort to help his fellow Texans, Donahew and his wife joined forces to gather donations and deliver them by the truckload to those in need. We agreed that it is quite something to see your home state jump in to help a community in need. No matter what state you are in, these moments make you realize the true level of state pride that exists.

For more on Donahew and what he has in the works, please visit his website and follow him on social media. Be sure to watch our full conversation now and stay tuned for more from this talented artist who is bringing "Cowboy" music back. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
