CRS (Country Radio Seminar) kicked off on Monday, February 5th, with my first interview of the event being with emerging artist, Dave McElroy.
McElroy came into the booth with the most infectious smile and upbeat attitude, despite the time he had just been on the road in route to Nashville from Minnesota, the night of the Super Bowl, no less. There was no way anyone could not immediately feed off of that positive vibe and it was a terrific way to start the day.

There have been adjectives used to describe McElroy such as Positive, Inspiring and Motivational and as you listen to him describe his journey to where he is now, there is no doubt that you will clearly see how anyone can conclude this is an artist that you just want to listen to and want to learn more about.
We discussed his early morning drives with his father at a young age and what memories that bring back to him today as well as a special gift from his grandfather at the age of eighteen, which he carries with him everywhere.
With musical influences such as Louis Armstrong, Hank Williams, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, to name a few, it comes as no surprise why he is the artist he is today, that being, the real-deal country artist. He writes and sings what he has lived and stays true to that regardless of what everyone else may be doing.
