Her performance not only blew away Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj, it earned her a spot as a contestant on American Idol Season 12. It was Sarah's performance on American Idol that got her attention from Average Joes Entertainment. After signing her deal with the label, Sarah has released her debut EP, Calm Before The Storm, July 24, 2015. Her music video for the title track also premiered with Rolling Stone Country. If you think it stops there, well you are wrong! In June and July 2015, Calm Before The Storm was also chosen as the "Digital Artist Integration Program" for iHeart Radio. WOW!
I really wanted to get to know Sarah, so I asked her about listening to music with her dad while growing up and the music he would play. It is always fascinating to me to see where the musical influence for these artists comes from. What was it exactly that made Sarah realize she wanted to pursue a career in music?
