CRS 2018 with Missy: Uncle Si & The Sicotics

Having watched the popular reality show Duck Dynasty and watching the world become enamored with it, you can imagine my excitement when I received confirmation that I would be interviewing the famed Uncle Si & The Sicotics at CRS 2018.

After day one at Country Radio Seminar was a wrap, I sat in front of the computer at home to prepare for my interviews the following day. To my surprise, Uncle Si & The Sicotics were doing a Facebook Live video and I was captivated immediately. Uncle Si, Marsha Robertson, and Bridgette Tatum are each very different, however, they compliment each other extremely well and have addictive personalities. After watching their video, I realized that I was going to need to talk about it during our interview, scrapping the previous talking points I had laid out.

As soon as this fun trio came to sit with me for our conversation, I knew that I was in for a special treat. Though he did not have his usual drink in hand, Uncle Si had us laughing instantly as he expressed the trickery involved with him and the cup of green juice he was holding. The laughing continued as the camera began rolling.

We talked about as much as we could in our short time together from playing video games, the Yee-Haw Song, Throwback Man, touring and performing for a Randy Travis charity event. Our conversation was packed with fun. While talking about the charity event that Travis is holding, one thing that everyone agreed with is that Travis is one of the sweetest men on the face of the planet and is a fantastic artist. However, you will never guess which of the trio is terrified of performing one of Travis' songs at this event. Do you think you know? Watch our fun conversation now to see if you are right.

Be sure to follow Uncle Si & The Sicotics on social media so you are sure to catch all the fun. You will be glad to be a part of it all. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
