Bobby Bare

Premiered Exclusively on CMT Music and Rolling Stone Country

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 10, 2018) – This year Bobby Bare celebrates 60 years as a chart-topping musician and the Country Music Hall of Famer is not slowing down anytime soon. Yesterday, Bare released the music video for his emotional awareness song “I Drink,” penned by Mary Gauthier and Crit Harmon. The video brings a visual message on the sensitive topic of alcoholism and is open to many interpretations. The song is featured on Bare’s current album, Things Change, featuring a duet with Chris Stapleton, which can be found at fans retailer of choice here.

CMT Music aired the exclusive television world premier of the video Tuesday and the video is available to watch online now. Highly-respected music outlet, Rolling Stone Country served as the online premier outlet for the video.

“’I Drink’ was written by one of my favorite songwriters, Mary Gauthier – she lived it. It’s a heart-wrenching story of alcoholism and the effects it can have on a family,” said Bobby Bare, adding, “I am proud of the depiction of the song through this video and hope it will sincerely touch people. If you’re struggling, get help, it could save your family and your life. I recommend AA as a starting point.”

“A shattering meditation on the cycle of alcohol abuse and addiction, ‘I Drink’ benefits from Bare's intensely weathered vocal and Gauthier's simple yet incisive lyrics.” - Rolling Stone Country

The video was directed by Max T. Barnes (Hypermedia Nashville) and produced by Zach Farnum (117 Entertainment).

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
