Conversations with Missy: Brianna Alomar

Since she was a child, Brianna Alomar had a passion for entertainment. Wanting to be an actress, Alomar found herself at an audition for the part of "Annie" and it required her to sing. Terrified, Alomar continued with the audition and quickly realized she had a singing voice.

While standing on the "Pedestrian Bridge" in Nashville, Tennessee, I asked Alomar about her experience discovering she had the remarkable ability to sing. She was all smiles as she shared her story with me. She even gave a few pointers for those who are thinking about facing the similar fear of a singing audition.

Alomar has not only conquered her singing, at the age of 13, Alomar picked up a guitar and began learning how to play. With the help of the internet and tutorials found on YouTube, the first song Alomar learned to play was her own. Not bad for a beginner. Through her hard work and determination, Alomar has already shared the stage with some heavy hitters in the country music industry and was lucky enough to also have the opportunity to play during Tootsies Orchid Lounge 56th anniversary celebration along with Montgomery Gentry and many others.

After seeing Alomar perform at the Johnny Cash Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee, I could not wait to talk to her about that experience. Her reaction to this moment is priceless and special to witness. As you will see in our conversation, this moment in Alomar's career is definitely at the top of the list.

Other "top of the list" moments no doubt include her performances of the "National Anthem" in front of thousands of Cleveland Indian fans and one special fan, in particular, her dad. As the coach for the Indians, it is safe to say that this man is one proud papa.

For more on Alomar and all she has coming up, please follow her on social media and check out her website. Be sure to grab her EP and share her music with your friends. I know you will enjoy listening to her as much as we do here at Center Stage Magazine. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
