Conversations with Missy: Hank Cochran PEN Fund Series, Deborah Allen

Welcome back to our Hank Cochran PEN Fund Series. Our next artist is one that I could not help but be excited about. This remarkable woman is not only an incredible singer, she is also a brilliant songwriter, author, and actress. Deborah Allen has an impressive career that most would die for.

As you will see in our conversation, I did not know where to begin our discussion. Due to her long list of major accomplishments, and fascinating career moments, I chose to start off with something I was jealous of.

Her friendships with writers that I have been enamored with since childhood, gave me an intimate look into who these people actually were. She brought so much life into our conversation by remembering her friends and sharing her fond memories of them. Not only is Allen a beautiful woman, her heart and her soul are equally as wonderful.

When we began talking about the event, Allen lit up while reliving her memories of Mr. Cochran. I could not help but smile and wish that I too had been given the opportunity to know such a fun-loving, humorous and intelligent man. There is no doubt that Cochran made a huge impact in the music world. His words continue to live on through voices like that of Allen.

As a phenomenal songwriter and performer herself, Allen has released her latest album, Here Me Now and is continuing to perform for her adoring fans. Her passion for creating songs that move the audience shines through each of her powerful lyrics. You cannot help but feel when you listen to her beautiful voice belt out real emotion.

Please watch our full conversation to get to know this sweet, fun, kind and giving artist. Follow her on social media and go grab a copy of her latest release. You can also find her on iTube247 in addition to the regular social media and digital music formats. Enjoy. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
