THIRD PLACE, A U.S. Introduction
THIRD PLACE may not be as well known in the U.S. just yet, this rock band definitely has an impressive following in Canada. I cannot say enough good things about this band, from their musical chemistry to their awesome sound.
I have been rocking out to their music for a few years now so I was stoked when they announced their first U.S. tour would be bringing them close enough for me to catch their show, which they nailed. Nick (lead vocalist) is a high-performance front man. He was very energetic and all over the stage. He engaged the crowd for sure. All the guys were animated with the crowd as they played. Then after they rocked an awesome performance, they mingled with fans, signed CD's and were really cool and personable with everyone.
Not only did I finally get to see them perform live and up close, but as a writer for Center Stage Magazine I was privy to an on-camera interview with them for your viewing pleasure.
I love finding uniqueness in bands, and THIRD PLACE has that. Their sad, beautiful lyrics are portrayed in their song “The Other Side.” However, it is the song “Psycho Show” which changes the tempo and tone and is hauntingly hooking with a dark, sexy, but slightly chilling sound. Pardon any rookie mistakes on my part, as these guys give a great and very informative interview. I really do recommend checking out THIRD PLACE and getting their new EP as soon as it comes out. I have my copy of, "RISE OF CHAOS" now, and I cannot stop listening to it. The guys also had some issues with their originally planned tour, which has a funny narrative behind it.
