CMA Fest 2016 Nashville Navy Party and One Fan's Dream Come True
To kick off CMA Fest right, we had to attend the biggest kick-off party in town. Storme Warren just held the 10th anniversary Nashville Navy Party on June 7th, 2016. The night was filled with great friends, many fans, laughter and more. One special fan even received a once in a lifetime treat at the end of the night. This moment is sure to touch your heart.
A moment I never expected, was having Shelly Fairchild fix my hair. After my long flight out from California, I had no time to stop and change or get ready. From the airport directly to the Limelight, I was pressed for time. After realizing I was having trouble getting it done myself and watching me stress out, Fairchild graciously offered to lend her expertise to my sad locks of hair. She was so sweet and made me feel like a princess. Thank You Miss Fairchild.
Later on, while backstage in the green room, I was gifted one of the funniest interviews ever. The boys from Halfway to Hazard along with Keith Anderson and a cameo from Montgomery Gentry made for an unforgettable night of interviews. Is a curling iron supposed to be used as a microphone? Watching the fans take it all in and sing along to the songs of Jeff Bates, Darryl Worley, Wade Hayes, Trent Willmon, Shelly Fairchild, Jaime Fox, David Adam Byrnes, Ray Scott, Brothers Osborne, Jacob Davis, Mantz Brothers and Josh Kelley was exciting to see. Everyone had a great time.
One special fan was able to make a memory that will last a life time. Cody Albritton was given the opportunity fans would die for. When asked if he would please pick with him, Worley wasted no time getting his guitar back out to play. One of Albritton’s dreams came true that night and will not soon be forgotten by those who were lucky enough to witness it. This is definitely a night that everyone will remember for years to come.
