Conversations with Missy: David Lee

As children many of us had big dreams. Some wanted to be firefighters, princesses, actors, Dr.'s and Rockstars. How many of us while still kids achieved these dreams? Well David Lee is one child who is living proof that no matter how big the dream and how young you are, it can absolutely be achieved if you work hard enough. His parents of course are a huge part of David's success as they are his biggest supporters. It is no wonder he has such a positive and grateful attitude. His parents were very attentive to his needs and are obviously his biggest fans.

While most of us only have a future of birthdays and recess at 7 years old, that is when David was writing his first song, "Free". He has such an amazing amount of talent inside of him. How many 9 year olds can say that they play with their band (Minor Strut) at the House of Blues and Whiskey A Go Go? Are you intrigued yet? His musical inspiration is none other than Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters, and was in complete awe of Dave continuing on with a concert after breaking his leg. That performance definitely left a positive impression on David and if given the opportunity to sing with him it would be another dream come true.

Well David Lee all I have to say is that I am so glad my family was fortunate enough to see you play today. What a remarkable soul you have to perform for all of the families of ill children. We were all appreciative of you sharing your gift with us and I wish you nothing but success and blessings in your future. You are a TRUE ROCKSTAR! ~Missy Wolf

Special Thanks to the Orange County Ronald McDonald House and it's staff for putting this event together, David Lee and his family for allowing us to record and interview David, Bree Crum for filming and Tommy Lemon for editing. This would not be possible without all of you!

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
